Description
Giorgio Rocca was born in Chur, in the Canton of Graubünden, on August 6, 1975. Growing up on the snow of Livigno, where he grew up, his passion for skiing pushed him to pursue a competitive career. Thanks to his talent, Giorgio achieved very important successes on the international scene, including 3 medals at the world championships, 11 victories in World Cup races. In 2006 he won the World Specialty Cup in Slalom, also thanks to five consecutive victories that allowed Giorgio to equal the records of Tomba, Stenmark and Girardelli. In 2010, after his retirement, he founded the Giorgio Rocca Ski Academy, a ski school with more than 70 instructors located in St. Moritz, Crans Montana
and Livigno.
