In French it's touche, in English it's line-out, in Italian it's a lineout. In rugby, after the ball comes out of the two side lines, the touche takes place, another static phase after the scrum. The oval is played by the team that did not cause the ball to leave the field except in some cases such as an unachieved advantage.

Deployment: usually it is the same scrum players who participate in the touche, the number may vary (from one to fourteen) and is decided by the team with the possession.

Positions: the touch takes place between the dotted lines of 5 meters and 10 meters along the entire side band with the exception of 5 meters away from the goal. If the ball comes out within 5 meters of the goal, the touch will still be played 5 meters away.

Throwing: whoever takes care of putting the oval back in the game is usually the hooker of the attacking team (number 2), his job is to throw the ball straight into the middle of the grid, in the event of a wrong throw, the oval passes to the opposing team that can choose whether to play a melee or a touch again.

Conquest: once the hooder throws, the ball can be contested by both teams, in modern rugby the ball is conquered by the jumper lifted by two teammates thanks to the movement chosen by the attacking team. The throw must take place within 30 seconds otherwise the referee whistles indirect soccer in favor of the defending team.
